The Department of Text Book Press is concerned with Printing and supply of Government Text Books toSchools. The Department of Govt Text Book Press is part of the School Education Department of AndhraPradesh.TheCommissioner ofSchoolEducationistheheadoftheSchoolEducationDepartment.Thereisa separateDirector for AP Government TextBook Press located its head quarters at Guntur.

There are 13 District Offices at each District Head Quarters for storage and distribution of Government Textbooks to schools, through the Mandal Educational Officers of concerned. These offices are called as District  Government Text Books Sales Offices.
